The Detachment 060 Vision

“To enable a vibrant culture of champions that develops future air and space leaders as America’s detachment of choice.”

Our History…

In 1949, Detachment 060 was established and served as the Air Force ROTC program for USC. For over 75 years, the success of Trojan alumni from Det 060 is truly unrivaled with many of our alumni serving in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and many other sectors for the Department of Defense. Ever since the establishment of Det 060, our cadets have developed a rich understanding of the U.S. Air Force’s history and are prepared thoroughly for active duty as newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenants. Everyday, our cadets and officers are faithful to the Air Force’s core values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence. Our graduates are imbedded with the traits of a wingman as well as the warrior ethos. No matter what your career is in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force, you are joining a family of support and a rich heritage that will last longer than time.

… Along With a Legacy of Valor…

Upon commissioning, you join a proud legacy of Trojans that continue to serve our country and do good for the world. … And a Never Ending Strive For Evolution.

As the military continues to evolve, so does Det 060. Every year, we strive to make changes that solidify us as America’s detachment of choice and offer more enriching programs to our cadets. Recently, with space being an ever-changing frontier, USC and Det 060 are proud to be one of the 14 universities in the country to join the USSF’s University Partnership Program, which supports your development of space related projects at USC. Our program is also a part of i5 Space, an organization under USSF STARCOM which prepares cadets as Space Force Officers. Even if you don’t plan for a career in the Space Force, we continuously provide all of our cadets with amazing opportunities each year to continue to develop their leadership skills at other universities such as USAFA, Texas A&M, and more. At Det 060 and USC, there are no limits to what you can learn and we all work as one to fulfill our mission and vision.

One Team. Fight On!
